Richard Scott | Moné Palacios | Louise Affleck-Hall
Dr. Richard Scott. Richard is CEO and Principal Consultant for NT Consulting; Director, Office of Global e-Health Strategy, and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences, and Department of Family Medicine, University of Calgary, and Professor, University of KwaZulu Natal, Durban, South Africa. He is also a Canadian Harkness Associate (2004-2005), and a Fulbright New Century Scholar (2001-2002) alumnus; experiences that strengthened his policy and global health perspectives, respectively. Richard has a BSc 1st Class (Hons) from the UK (Plymouth University), a PhD from Canada (University of Calgary), and a Post-Graduate Certificate from the USA (Mayo Clinic). Richard practiced as a clinical, forensic, environmental, and occupational toxicologist for 13 years, and acted as a consultant and expert witness in criminal and civil cases. As a clinician and Health Services Researcher, Richard has over 30 years of frontline healthcare, research, and contract experience, including as the Director of Research for a large hospital corporation. With over 17 years of experience in e-Health, Richard has worked with colleagues in many Latin American, Caribbean, North American, European, African, South East Asian, and Australasian countries. Richard is also Editor for the Journal of the International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth (JISfTeH), and on the Editorial Boards of several other health services research oriented journals. He has, and continues, to provide input to national and international advisory groups and panels.
Dr. Moné Palacios. Moné, a paediatric dentist by training, is a Senior Consultant for NT Consulting, with an MSc in Health Research, and a PhD in Medical Sciences in which she specialized in Medical Education. Moné has particular strength in literature review, adult education, program evaluation, assessment tools, development and validation, and application of the logic model. As an Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary, she currently works actively in the field of Medical Education and e-Health, she is also fluent in Spanish and supports Universities in Chile with curriculum re-design and medical education. Moné seeks means to identify and maximize solutions, especially e-learning, that support vulnerable and disadvantaged people and communities. Dr. Palacios is an Assistant Editor with the American Journal of Education.
Louise Affleck-Hall. Louise is a Consultant and Senior Research Associate for NT Consulting. Louise has worked with the former Calgary Health Region, and Saskatchewan Health, in health systems evaluation, quality improvement, indicator development, and literature review. She has a BAH and MA in Economics from Queen’s University, and has skills in interview and focus group protocol development; team facilitation; and consultation with healthcare providers, program administrators, and community members. Louise also has experience in budget analysis and economic analysis, as well as database development and analysis.
